Inverted bucket steam trap
I. Introduction:
The 983F inverted bucket steam trap operates on the principle of the density difference between condensate and steam. Its internal structure consists of a lever system connected to an inverted bucket, which overcomes steam pressure to switch the inverted bucket-type steam trap. Inside, an inverted bucket serves as the liquid level sensing element, with its opening facing downward. When the device first starts, air and low-temperature condensate appear in the pipeline, at which point the steam trap is fully open, allowing air and low-temperature condensate to be discharged quickly, and the device warms up rapidly. When steam enters the inverted bucket, the inverted bucket generates upward buoyancy, and the inverted bucket connected to the lever drives the valve core to close the valve. A small hole is drilled in the inverted bucket to automatically exhaust air. When part of the steam is discharged through the small hole, another part of the steam forms condensate, causing the inverted bucket to lose buoyancy and sink downward. The inverted bucket connected to the lever drives the valve core to open the valve. When steam enters the inverted bucket again, the valve closes again, working cyclically to discharge water intermittently.
II. Product Features:
1. All moving parts inside the cavity are made of stainless steel, offering excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance.
2. Since steam cannot reach the water-sealed valve seat hole, there is no steam loss, ensuring high efficiency and energy saving.
3. The inverted bucket will not be deformed or flattened, is resistant to water hammer, and has a long service life.
4. The top of the inverted bucket is equipped with an exhaust hole, providing excellent continuous air exhaust performance and preventing cold lag and air blockage.
5. The inverted bucket steam trap is not affected by back pressure and can work well under high back pressure.
6. The inverted bucket steam trap is reliable in operation, with only two moving parts (the lever and the inverted bucket), so jamming will not occur.
7. The valve seat and valve disc are located at the top of the valve. The valve disc allows dirt to pass through during switching, providing good self-cleaning performance and no dirt accumulation.
III. Installation:
1. The steam trap should be installed below the heating equipment to facilitate the automatic inflow of condensate.
2. Before installing the steam trap, the pipeline should be purged with steam to remove debris inside.
3. Install according to the flow direction marked on the valve body.
4. Mechanical steam traps should be installed horizontally.
5. When installing the steam trap, a bypass valve and a test valve should generally be considered.
6. Some steam traps do not come with a built-in filter, so a Y-type filter should be added.
7. The steam trap should be insulated; for bimetallic steam traps, a bare pipe of about 1 meter should be left.
IV. Structural Features:
